David is a U.S. Marine, and his 1968 Pontiac Firebird was given new life at Classic Industries. For this operation, Chris, A.J. and Chip worked to give a returning hero a huge homecoming. His ‘68 Firebird ultimately became a car worth saluting. But it took the industrious work of the A-Team and a pair of insiders to pull it all off; David’s parents, Judy and Ron kept matters covert as Foose deployed the troops and the car was reborn.

While the Firebird was being re-hatched, pranks messed with the Marine. Prankster Lee played a lawman; a cop who lured David into pulling surveillance on a late-night chop shop. It’s there where David spotted the distinctive yellow hood from his stolen Firebird. ‘Distinctive’ because David’s hood just might sport the tallest, most unsightly scoop this side of a U.S. mail box. It was available for the prank because there was no way Chip was allowing it back onto David’s Overhauled ride. Once that part was spotted, Lee and David went on to bust the crooks in the light of day. But it was during the bust that David saw the light: he had been Overhauled and his ‘68 was ready to be both seen and heard.
