Overtime - Season 3 - Episode 9

Matthew's '30 Model A Ford was totally Overhauled. It all began as Chris dressed like a rockabilly punk and brought the car to Hot Rod Car Craft for a session of deconstruction with A.J., Chip and the A-Team. Matthew kept the Model A as a scruffy rat rod. Working with Matthew's wife Aimee as an insider, the goal was to make it into a very cool hot rod while also converting it into a safe, family ride. It proved too much for a seven-day build.

As the oldest car tackled to date by Overhaulin', it was also one of the smallest, with very little interior and very different rules when it came to chassis, body and paint. Chip and the A-Team had true hot rod fever as they worked on the Ford, making everything both better than new and more elaborate than almost any other car in Overhaulin' history. The result turned out to be worth the wait, even though the tension was huge for a team used to maintaining a strict and never-before-broken deadline schedule. Still, when Matthew was finally informed regarding what was going on, he was amazed upon meeting his new hot rod; a car forcing Overhaulin', Foose and the A-Team to go to ‘D-Day’ and beyond.
