The SEMA Show - Season 3 - Episode 10
Merrick’s ride is a 1967 Dodge Charger. He’s a college freshman and a sales clerk living in Las Vegas. His friend Scott works the auto shop that belongs to Merrick’s family; it’s a garage supervised by Merrick’s mom, Sheral. Well, Merrick has no idea that Sheral and Scott are secretly working with Overhaulin’. Merrick doesn’t even know that Overhaulin’ happens to be in Vegas to reinvent his ‘67 before the massive crowds of the SEMA show.
SEMA is the giant convention of automotive parts and accessories. A.J., Chris and Chip bring the Charger to the Overhaulin’ shop at the event. Merrick is told by Scott that his ‘67 has been stolen from behind the family business. Playing the law, Chris later tells Merrick that the Charger owner himself is the prime suspect in the crime. After a week of building, the car is ready to go back to Merrick. As the officer who first accused Merrick, Chris claims to now have a new suspect; it’s Scott. Just as Scott is being hauled in for the stolen Dodge, Merrick learns that he’s been Overhauled. He’s brought before the live audience of the SEMA show, pres ented with one of the most stunning cars ever rebuilt. |
