UFC Live on Versus
UFC events are separated into five different formats:
- "Numbered events", such as UFC 100 that are mostly sold on pay-per-view.
- "Ultimate Fight Night Live" events, such as UFC Fight Night: Shields vs. Ellenberger, which air for free on Spike TV and are often used as the lead-in broadcast for season premieres of The Ultimate Fighter
- "Ultimate Fighter Finales", such as The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale, which also air for free on Spike TV and are based around the final of The Ultimate Fighter series tournament.
- "UFC Live on Versus" events, such as UFC Live: Cruz vs. Johnson, which air for free on Versus.
- "UFC on Fox" such as UFC on Fox: Velasquez vs. Dos Santos.
