Good news breakfast is included, bad news it's nothing like the others.
We found a tobacconist to buy our train tickets, got a 3 day pass for everything, 30 euro.
Back across on the train about 9, just as busy as yesterday, got on a ferry to Lido which ran straight down the grand canal packed in like sardines. Bit like Manly, all boutique shops had a gelato at the ocean beach the we jumped back on the ferry and came back to San Marco square.
It was very hot now.
Had lunch in a resteraunt on the grande canal to escape the heat.
Jude and Karen took a lift up the tower of the church and we all went our separate ways for a couple of hours.
Tony found some gondolias behind the square and we got a fantastic ride of 30 mins for 80 euro.
We then went for a walk through some of the streets and ended up at Rialto, we walked across the bridge for tea on the canal. This was a lovely but expensive meal, 200 euros for the 5 of us.
Then back on the train to the hotel and a bit of Internet time. Another Great day! |
