Although I didn't go on the Saturday from all reports it was a great day, with about 100 entrants turning up to hear some great music.
Even under threatening skies the Sunday was much much bigger, with obviously more entrants than the previous year. Having the top cars in the central area was a great ide as it showed off these cars to their best advantage. But there we many more cars that could have been included, the standard was that high. There were a few new rods to look at and one or two oldies that hadn't seen the light of day for many years. The bands played all day and presentation was not until after 4pm which was too late for a lot of the entrants who had already left for that long trip home.
The complex at Pakenham has improved each year and lends its self more and more to this event. However parking was at a premium and this year overflowed into the general public car park. Getting in was a bit of a drama as there were so many cars that entered on the Sunday, but no complaints like last year.
Congrats to John and his small band of helpers.
Unfortunately I ran out of batteries mid afternoon and had no way of recharging so there is one whole area of cars that I never got to cover and lots of cars that I would have like to get shots of. If anybody wants to send in their favourite photos I'm happy to add them.
