Day 32 - London

Tuesday 4th October 2011

Last touring day as we head home tomorrow. The girls went off to Harrods as it's not too far from here. Lunch at home then In the afternoon we went for a cruise on the Thames down to Greenwich. Had a real village feel to it, walked through the University and up the hill to the observatory, the best part was that this is also zero degrees latitude and the origin of time through out the world. Walked around the shops until the girls found this bloody market, so I found a chair and away they went. As it was now late afternoon we decided to have tea there at this chinese restaurant, so cheap, £4.40 for a main and they were huge. Suppose this is what happens in a University Town.

Walked back down to the ferry and because the one back to the London Eye had just gone we thought why not go to the end of the line and then go all the way back, which was really good because we got to see some more cool stuff like the 02 stadium and the flood gates and when we got back to Westminster all the lights were on. The Eye was blue, Parliament orange and Big Ben green. Had our final look around and some photos then back to Earls Court on the tube, another great day.

First day of long pants! 20° and overcast.

Even though we leave tomorrow we don't get home till Friday as we loose a day.
