The super fast train did not leave until 10:35, so we had a leisurely breakfast, threw all the bags in a taxi and up to the station. We could all have spent more time in Nice.
Train not as well set out as the German train, 2 levels and we were on the bottom. These are huge trains, 4 engines and 16 carriages. The platforms are so long.
The train left Nice with only a few passengers in our carriage but by the time we left Cannes it was full. For the first hour it wasn't that fast as we followed the coast but after we stopped at Marseay the driver put the pedal down and only stopped at Leon before we were in Paris. I don't know how fast we were going but it was bloody fast.
The station was harder to negotiate than we anticipated and rather than waste hours getting lost we decided to take taxis to our hotel, which was just as well because after getting there we realized that we would have got hopelessly lost if we had've stuck with the original plan.
The hotel is in a great location and we are in a two story, 3 bedroom apartment with some cooking stuff the rooms are small, but hey it's Paris.
