Down to the Earls Court train station and off to Westminster station, came out right on the Thames, turned around and there was Big Ben, whoa.
Walked across the Westminster Bridge a went on the London Eye, what a great view, included was a 4d movie which was really fun. Then we walked back to Houses of Parliament and bought tickets for the guided tour at 1:30. We then had a look at Westminster Abbey, didn't go in as it was 17 pounds. The went across the the Churchill Museum, while I went to the Cabinet War Rooms the girls had a look around St. James park and sussed out the changing of the guard. The war rooms were fantastic and I'm glad I went. Then it was back to the Houses of Parliament for our tour. I must admit I didn't know what to expect but it was really good and the guide was excellent in explaining the history of the buildings and the parliamentary system.
By this stage we were pretty buggered so decided to head for home, it was hot again a very un-seasonal 27°, on the way we stopped at an internet cafe. Typically when we got home the Wi-Fi was working.
Time for a drink and to plan for tomorrow. We went to a local pub for fish and chips for tea, yum |
