Buffet breakfast at the hotel then off the Monaco. Queued up for the #100 bus with all the other tourists, when I notice around the corner come a #100 EXPRESS! So we casually got out of line and along with 2 others board our air conditioned coach. It was good because we got to see parts of Nice we had not seen and took the freeway / high road into Monaco, still took the best part of and hour but the views were amazing.
Left the bus at the old casino and just walked around for about 3 jaw dropping hours. Followed the F1 track in several places, just can't believe that they race cars on these streets it would be truly amazing to be here for the race.
There was a huge yacht show was in town and the port and bay was just chockers with all sorts of power and sail boats, the place was just oozing money.
Saw 2 Maybach's, a James Dean porsche heaps of Ferrari's, Rollers, 2 baby Astons and 1 red Mustang convertible. There were new convertible Mercedes Sports were everywhere.
The bus we came home on hugged the coast and past through all these little villages and towns, many with a protected port and full of expensive looking boats. We got off the bus when it stopped near the port at Nice and walked home from there.
While the girls went shopping, Tony and I had a Stella watching everyone walking along the promenade in front of our hotel. Very pleasant.
Shower and a few more drinks then walked into Old Town for tea, a long wide street filled with places to eat, nobody could decide, but the one we chose had beautiful meals, another great night. |
