The Grizwald's European Vacation

Karens gone shopping for the day, Max is going to Galleriadell Accademia museum, Jude's going to the Ufizi Art Gallery and Tony is just taking in the sites. I walked in to Florence about an hour, walked over the Ponte Vecchio bridge over the Flume Arno with all its little shops on the bridge. I met Jude at 11 had my photo taken with the fake David and we went to Santa Maria del Fore cathedral which was huge, past the Palazzo Medici Riccardi made from these huge brown blocks, to the Medici Chapels. We all met at 1 in the Piazza della Signoria for lunch. After lunch Jude and I went to Palazzo (palace) Pitti with it's beautiful gardens.

Then it was back to the hostel for a quick break the on a bus up to Piazza de Michangelo which overlooks all of Florence to watch the sunset and have a picnic tea. Amazing! And there were the 2 very talented musicians that played very beautiful music as we ate and drank our picnic. They got me, Tony, Karen and Jude up to play an instrument for a song, very funny. A very memorable night.
