John's Rod & Custom Picnic Berwick and Pakenham, Victoria, Australia
30th and 31st October 1999
This year, John's Picnic moved to Pakenham Racecourse on the Sunday. This is about 20 k's down the road from Berwick and is a large rural town. It also proved to be an ideal venue for the Picnic. There was even enough room for a cruise track. Pleanty of undercover area and of course the grounds, gardens and grass was the ideal back drop for showing off all the cars.
There was a good representation from all facets of the sport / hobby which is modified cars. Hot Rods, Kustoms, Street Machines, full restorations you name it and they were there.
There were many rods making their debut at the picnic including Greg Jones's '41 Willys and Rod Hadfield's WILD '22 T Roadster.
Congratulations to John and Tina and all the Kustoms of Australia members who organised a fantastic event and did a terrific job over the weekend.
