We had a huge storm last night thunder and lightning for hours and heavy rain, never seen anything like it. Cloudy skies for the first time this morning and a cooler day.
We took a bus over to San Maria in Trastevere on the other side of Tevere Flume (river) and had focaccia at a little place around the corner (big slabs of mozzarella). Then we walked a bit further north to the Carcere Regina Coeli offices, then followed the river back down to Isola, an island in the middle of the river where we crossed and made our way back to the Emanuelle Monument where we took the lift up to the top for some photos. Tony decided to walk home, while the rest of us took the bus with a spot of shopping for the girls.
So we managed to clock up a few more k's today, nowhere near as hot thank goodness.
Because we were a day out in Venice and missed the introduction dinner (even though we were in the same restaurant)
Jude is a bit anxious so I've confirmed the dates and flights for tomorrow, twice. |
