We flew Emirates from Melbourne, our plane left about 2:30am local time, the first stop over was in Kuala Lumpur. Second stop over was Dubai. Dubai airport is huge! Duty free amazing! We arrived in Frankfurt about 7:30pm local time. Total travel time was about 26hrs.
From the Frankfurt Airport, we took the underground city train (Deutsche Bahn) to the Frankfurt main station (Frankfurt Hbf) a journey of about 10Km. Station was amazing with it's huge arched steel frame and glass roof. Reminded me of Southern Cross, even down to the homeless and beggars.
The InterCityHotel Frankfurt is located almost directly opposite the northern exit, it is very clean, room is small but ok. |
